People from all over were staying at the Opera Tower because they could get in on the garage level, sneaking by security (thanks real estate agents you know who you are). Up to 8/9 people were staying in one apartment in the Opera Tower sometimes. However, during peak Covid we had people coming and going all the time, with next to no security and nobody following mask mandates, etc. Or anything, just a couple of active shooters within a couple of months.AirBnB:I use AirBnB, I love it. Building lock down and again, no formal explanation of what to do, what appended. That was it, no tour, no explanation of where anything was.First few months:Two active shooters (who I later found out were AirBnB guests), which leads me to my next point. So heads up if youre thinking of buying that nice sofa, add $100 to it, just to get it into your apartment.My welcome:I was handed keys and asked to sign something. AND $100 just to use the service elevator, you dont get that back and its the same price moving out or any time you have an item of furniture delivered. Moving in/out:Even though you have rent to pay once a month, you have to pay $400 deposit (returnable if no damage to service elevator). The internet is reliable and fast, the parking garage is clean with assigned gated parking, and the basic cable has a lot of good channels.I feel very safe in the building there is security in all of the entry areas and the residents are very nice.The gym and pool are currently closed but for me that has not detracted from the experience of living here due to the location and the view. I also like the on site store and restaurant which are great conveniences.Other amazing benefits are that as of this writing water, parking, basic cable and internet are free. The Venetian Islands are right next door so one can can walk and ride bikes with ease. The location is such a benefit, having a park right across the street and the ability to walk to stores. I love my apartment and the view from the balcony is amazing. The security and other staff that work in the building are very courteous and professional. The office staff made my move easy and were available to answer any questions that I had. I just moved in a few weeks ago and my experience so far has been wonderful.
